Photography Tours
Jill Flyer has been leading workshop/photography tours in the Lake Chapala/Ajijic area (as well as Guadalajara) for several years. She has now been joined in this venture with Luis Mancera McCormick. Jill and Luis will take you to areas which are inaccessible if you don't have a car and/or don't speak Spanish. You will see parts of the real Mexico and come back with fabulous photos, whether you are an amateur or a professional photographer. They will show you how to shoot smarter, and how to see the world with new eyes, no matter what camera you use. You will become a better photographer and understand what makes a great picture and what to avoid. Please visit her website at www.mexploration.net for all the information, including itinerary, accommodations, photos, and direct contact information. Or, contact us if you might be interested in a Photography Tour
This is a photo taken in Petatan, Mexico, one of the stops on our tour around Lake Chapala. Each year, from November through March, literally thousands of pelicans wend their way from Canada to the south shores of Lake Chapala, and specifically, to the small fishing village of Petatan. At the end of each day, the fishermen throw out the heads and tails of the fish that have been cut up and it is a fantastic and awesome sight to watch the thousands of pelicans and egrets vie for the pieces of fish.
